Chowmein

 Description: Stir-fried noodles with a savory blend of vegetables and spices, served with chili garlic sauce.




Ingredients:
  • 200g Chowmein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chili garlic sauce, for serving
Method:
  1. Cook the Chowmein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic and stir-fry until softened.
  4. Add mixed vegetables and cooked chicken. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot with chili garlic sauce on the side.
