Ingredients:
- 500g minced beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- 2 green chilies, chopped (optional)
Method:
- Combine minced beef, chopped onion, garlic, ginger paste, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix well with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add lemon juice, ghee or oil, chopped cilantro (if using), and chopped green chilies (if using). Mix again until just combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Wet your hands with water and shape the beef mixture into small patties, about 3-4 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick.
- Add the patties to the preheated skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve hot with naan, rice, or your favorite sides.
