Ingredients:
  • 1 kg chicken breast or thighs, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Method:
  1. Marination: In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken pieces and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Batter Preparation: In a separate bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, and water. The batter should be thick but pourable.
  3. Frying: Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip the marinated chicken pieces in the batter, coating them evenly, then fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve: Serve hot with your favorite sauce or chutney.
