Ingredients:
- 1 cup semolina flour (suji)
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup ghee
- 6-8 cardamom
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds, cashew nuts and pistachios (for garnish)
Method:
- Heat the ghee in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the semolina flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 5-10 minutes or until lightly golden and fragrant.
- Make the sugar syrup, In a saucepan, add sugar, cardamoms and water and cook over medium heat and let it boil.
- Cook, stirring frequently, Now, pour the sugar syrup into the semolina slowly and carefully, keep stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Keep stirring until the halwa thickens.
- Cook on low heat (dum) Now add a cup of milk, stir, and cover the lid for almost 10 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped nuts, transfer the halwa on the serving dish and garnish with chopped nuts.
