Lebanese Kebab

 Lebanese kebab, also known as "Kebab Lebanese" or "Shish Taouk," is a popular Middle Eastern dish made with marinated chicken skewers, typically served with a side of garlic sauce, tabbouleh, and pita bread.



Ingredients
For the marinade:
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
For the garlic sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Method
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the marinade ingredients.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  4. Grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and prepare the garlic sauce.
  6. Serve the kebabs hot with garlic sauce, tabbouleh, and pita bread.
